No shocking result in a game when CB Canarias (2-0) beat Blusens Monbus (0-2) in Tenerife 70-55 on Friday. The hosts trailed by 3 points at the halftime before their 45-27 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. American point guard Davin White (186-81, college: CS Northridge) notched 18 points and 9 assists to lead the effort and forward Javier Beiran (200-87) supported him with 17 points and 9 rebounds. Even a double-double of 23 points and 10 rebounds by American center Shayne Whittington (211-91, college: W.Michigan) did not help to save the game for Blusens Monbus. Hungarian forward Rosco Allen (206-93, college: Stanford, agency: Pensack Sports) added 10 points for the guests. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. CB Canarias will meet at home Sevilla (#11) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Blusens Monbus will play against Movil Estudiantes and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
