Regular Season Round 1: Livani - Jekabpils II 76-53

There was a minor upset when Jekabpils II (1-1) was outplayed on the road by Livani (1-0) 76-53 on Friday. The hosts trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 44-20 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Livani held Jekabpils II to an opponent 25.0 percent shooting from the field compared to 38.5 percent accuracy of the winners. Livani forced 22 Jekabpils II turnovers. Jekabpils II was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Guard Daumants Pabrieza (183-87) stepped up and scored 17 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners and point guard Martins Bremze (185-91) chipped in 15 points and 6 rebounds.
