Limbazi used a home court advantage and rolled over the opponent from 87-58 on Friday night. The game without a history. Limbazi led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Riga/Ridzene's 28. They outrebounded Riga/Ridzene 47-34 including 33 on the defensive glass. Point guard Armands Osins (190-91) stepped up and scored 17 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners and forward Kaspars Veide (197-92) chipped in 21 points and 6 rebounds. Four Limbazi players scored in double figures. At the losing side point guard Edgars Lacis (191-98) responded with 11 points and 8 assists and center Nikita Molodovs (202-93) scored 8 points and 8 rebounds. Riga/Ridzene's coach Aigars Brigmanis already knew that his team would not have a big chance, so allowed to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Limbazi will face VEF skola (#7) in Riga in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Riga/Ridzene will play against Kekava and hope to win that game.
