Villeneuve D'Ascq used a home court advantage and rolled over the opponent from Saint-Amand 93-46 on Friday night. The game without a history. Villeneuve D'Ascq led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Hainaut to just 6 points in third quarter. Villeneuve D'Ascq dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Hainaut's 26. Villeneuve D'Ascq forced 27 Hainaut turnovers and outrebounded them 45-15 including a 22-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Villeneuve D'Ascq will face Tarbes (#12) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Hainaut will play against Nice and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
