Regular Season Round 3: Toulouse - Reims 52-55

The most surprising game was a loss of Toulouse (2-1) at the home court on Friday night. Hosts were edged by Reims (2-1) 55-52. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Reims dominated on the defensive end, holding Toulouse to just 3 points in fourth quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Toulouse's 26. Reims forced 22 Toulouse turnovers. Strangely Toulouse outrebounded Reims 38-19 including 25 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for Sarah Ousfar (183-93) who led her team to a victory with 12 points. Guard Fleur Devillers (181-95) contributed with 8 points for the winners. Senegalese power forward Oumou Toure (190-88, agency: Comsport) answered with 13 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Onayssa S'Bahi (168-93) added 12 points and 6 assists in the effort for Toulouse. Reims is looking forward to face COB Calais (#5) at home in the next round. Toulouse will play against Bretagne Basket in Pleyber-Christ and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
