Regular Season Round 2: Lyon - Lattes Montp. 74-75

There was a small surprise when Lattes Montpellier (1-0) edged on the road Lyon (1-1) 75-74 on Friday. Lyon cut a 13-point halftime deficit to one at the end of the game. Lattes Montpellier made 19-of-22 free shots (86.4 percent) during the game. They also forced 21 Lyon turnovers. The best player for the winners was international guard Anael Lardy (170-87, agency: Comsport) who scored 15 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. The former international forward Fatimatou Sacko (177-85, agency: Comsport) chipped in 16 points and 5 rebounds. Mali center Djene Diawara (192-85, agency: Comsport) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and American forward Lauren Ervin (191-85, college: Arkansas, agency: Two Points) added 13 points and 13 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Five Lattes Montpellier and four Lyon players scored in double figures. Lattes Montpellier will face Basket Landes in Mont de Marsan in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week.
