Regular Season Round 1: Fujitsu RW - JX-Eneos S. 61-76

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Fujitsu RW (0-1) in Kawasaki. Hosts were defeated by JX-Eneos S. (1-0) 76-61. The game without a history. JX-Eneos S. led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. JX-Eneos S. outrebounded Fujitsu RW 50-37 including 21 on the offensive glass. The former international forward Yuka Mamiya (185-90) nailed a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds for the winning side and international forward Yuki Miyazawa (181-93, college: Queens, NY) accounted for 22 points and 6 rebounds. Four JX-Eneos S. players scored in double figures. JX-Eneos S.'s coach Tom Hobasu used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. International point guard Mio Shinozaki (167-91) came up with 24 points and 6 rebounds and the former international forward Moeko Nagaoka (180-93) added 17 points respectively for Fujitsu RW in the defeat. JX-Eneos S. will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Fujitsu RW will play again on the road against JX-Eneos S.
