The game in Helsinki was also worth to mention about. Forssan Alku (3-0) played at the court of Helmi Basket (0-2). Forssan Alku defeated Helmi Basket 98-87. Helmi Basket was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. Forssan Alku forced 25 Helmi Basket turnovers. Strangely Helmi Basket outrebounded Forssan Alku 51-33 including 25 on the offensive glass. It was a great evening for American guard Kiana Johnson (168-93, college: Virginia Union) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 10 assists. Her fellow American import guard Tyonna Snow (178-93, college: Missouri St.) helped adding 21 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 6 steals. The best for the losing side was center Sofia Rajala (181-98) with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 12 rebounds and international center Helmi Tulonen (189-98) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points, 13 rebounds and 4 blocks. Four Forssan Alku and five Helmi Basket players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forssan Alku will play against Catz Lappeenranta at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Helmi Basket will play against Espoo Team (#7) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
