Regular Season Round 3: Alcobendas - Azuqueca 72-70

First defeat of league's leader Azuqueca (2-1) against Alcobendas (2-1) 72-70 was the most important game of the last round. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 24-11. But Azuqueca won second period 15-13. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a good game for point guard Hector Jimenez (183-94) who led his team to a victory with 22 points. Point guard Nicolas Bermudez (193-95) contributed with 12 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Alcobendas' coach Jose Antonio Ramirez used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. Venezuela forward Luis Valera (202-88, college: UTRGV, agency: Duran International) answered with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds and Serbian power forward Branislav Tomic (205-80) added 17 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Azuqueca.
