Regular Season Round 2: Toyota B SR - Aishin AW 65-57

Very important is a road loss of Aishin Wings (0-1) against Toyota B SR (1-0) on Saturday night. Visiting Aishin Wings were defeated by Toyota B SR in a tough game in Aichi 57-65. Aishin Wings were trailing by 7 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 21-12 charge of Toyota B SR, which allowed them to win the game. Power forward Sari Osabe (174-87) scored 17 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the former international swingman Masami Honda (176-91) chipped in 13 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. Four Toyota B SR players scored in double figures. Toyota B SR's coach Fumikazu Nakagawa used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Center Baiq Ghua (185-92) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 15 rebounds and the former international power forward Evelyn Mawuli (180-95) scored 20 points and 6 rebounds. Toyota B SR will again meet at home Aishin Wings (#7) in the next round. Aishin Wings will have a break next round.
