Rather predictable result when leader Shimane Magic (5-0) beat on the road 3rd placed Kumamoto V. (3-2) 66-56 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 8-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 66-56. The best player for the winners was American center Wayne Marshall (211-86, college: Temple) who had a double-double by scoring 13 points and 13 rebounds. Guard Keisuke Takabatake (183-90) chipped in 22 points. American forward Joel James (208-94, college: N.Carolina) produced 10 points and 9 rebounds and the other American import forward Reginald Warren (204-81, college: W.Florida) added 10 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the hosts.
