Regular Season Round 3: Venta de Banos - Valladolid Univ. 77-101

But Venta de Banos was not able to use a home court advantage and was rolled over by the opponent from Valladolid 101-77 on Saturday night. The game without a history. Valladolid Univ. led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Strangely Venta de Banos outrebounded Valladolid Univ. 33-21 including a 28-10 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. It was a good game for forward Axel Castillo (194-88) who led his team to a victory with 22 points and 4 assists. Power forward Alvaro Encinas (202-94) contributed with 13 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Four Valladolid Univ. players scored in double figures. South Sudanese forward Slay Chol (203, college: Trevecca Naz.) answered with 22 points and 5 rebounds (perfect from the field making all eleven shots !!!) and guard Daniel Manchon (191-98) added 16 points, 8 assists and 4 steals in the effort for Venta de Banos. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
