Regular Season Round 5: Tokyo Z - Nishinomiya S. 66-83

No shocking result in a game when first ranked Nishinomiya S. (5-1) defeated on the road 5th ranked Tokyo Z (1-5) 83-66 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Nishinomiya S.. Tokyo Z was better in third quarter 24-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great shooting night for Nishinomiya S. especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 60.0 percentage. The game was dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was center Will Creekmore (205-89, college: Missouri St.) who had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 17 rebounds. Forward Larry Owens (201-83, college: ORU, agency: Three Eye Sports) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds. Five Nishinomiya S. players scored in double figures. Nishinomiya S.'s coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Power forward Zachary Andrews (203-85, college: Bradley) produced a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds and forward Xavier Ford (201-93, college: Buffalo) added 12 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Nishinomiya S. have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain first place with 5-1 record. Tokyo Z lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the sixth position with five games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
