Regular Season Round 3: Roannais - Dunkerque 71-70

A very close game took place in between Roannais and Dunkerque. Roannais (1-2) got a very close home victory over Dunkerque (0-3). Roannais managed to escape with a 1-point win 71-70 on Saturday evening. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Dunkerque won third quarter 19-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Roannais forced 31 Dunkerque turnovers. Strangely Dunkerque outrebounded Roannais 33-18 including 24 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was an exceptional evening for forward Amandine Toi (179-98) who led the winners and scored 20 points. Naturalized Angola power forward Whitney Miguel (185-91) accounted for 15 points for the winning side. Forward Anais Viale (188-91) came up with 17 points and 8 rebounds and power forward Dace Pierre-Joseph (187-81) added 10 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for Dunkerque in the defeat. Four Dunkerque players scored in double figures. Roannais will meet Limoges (#14) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Dunkerque will play against CFBB and hopes to get finally their first victory.
