Regular Season Round 3: Orleans - Strasbourg 83-81

A very interesting game took place in Orleans. It ended with only two-point defeat on the road of Strasbourg IG (0-3) to Entente Orleans 45 (1-2) 83-81 on Saturday evening. Entente Orleans 45 players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. 25 personal fouls committed by Strasbourg IG helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for American forward Marcellus Sommerville (200-82, college: Bradley) who led his team to a victory with 24 points and 9 rebounds (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line). His fellow American import point guard Kyle McAlarney (183-87, college: Notre Dame) contributed with 18 points and 5 assists for the winners. American point guard Erving Walker (173-90, college: Florida, agency: Two Points) answered with 18 points and 5 assists and Finnish-American power forward Erik Murphy (208-90, college: Florida, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) added 17 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Strasbourg IG. Entente Orleans 45's next round opponent will be Olympique Antibes (#8) on the road and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Strasbourg IG will play against Le Portel (#13) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
