Regular Season Round 1: Irakleio - Arkadikos 65-59

Another upset was a game between Arkadikos (0-1) and Irakleio (1-0), which took place in Irakleio. Arkadikos lost to Irakleio in a road game 59-65 on Saturday. Irakleio forced 19 Arkadikos turnovers. It was a very good performance for forward Dimitris Lolas (203-86) who helped to win the game recording 6 points and 10 rebounds. Guard Themis Koupidis (198-84) contributed with 16 points for the winners. Irakleio's coach Vasilis Rallis used a ten-player rotation saving starting five for next games. Forward Giannis Prodromou (196-87) answered with 13 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Ioannis Karamalegkos (191-94) added 12 points in the effort for Arkadikos. Irakleio will face GS Larissas (#13) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Arkadikos will play against Iraklis (#6) and hope to win that game and get promotion back to the A1 just one year after relegation.
