Regular Season Round 2: IK Eos - Talje 131-71

Very expected game when Talje Knights (0-1) were smashed by IK Eos (2-0) in Lund 131-71 on Saturday. The game without a history. IK Eos led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to Talje Knights' 40 and made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. IK Eos forced 32 Talje Knights turnovers and outrebounded them 49-34 including 17 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Talje Knights' players. Guard Gustav Sundstrom (197-91) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 31 points, 20 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. Guard Olle Karlsson (193-96) contributed with 17 points for the winners. Four IK Eos players scored in double figures. IK Eos' coach Axel Wallin felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Swingman Oskar Holm (197-98) replied with 21 points and 8 rebounds and guard Dimitris Agathangelidis (182-98) added 15 points in the effort for Talje Knights. IK Eos will face Hoganas (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Talje Knights will play against RIG Mark and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
