Samorin outrebounded Slovan 39-26 including 26 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for the former international power forward Romana Vynuchalova (192-86, college: Penn St., agency: Regeneracom Sports) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 12 rebounds and 4 blocks. Serbian point guard Mirjana Beronja (170-86) helped adding 9 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals. The best for the losing side was center Renata Talajkova (190-81) with 15 points and point guard Nikola Turzakova (175-94) scored 12 points. Slovan's coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Samorin will meet at home Piestanske C. (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Slovan will play against BAM Poprad (#7) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
