Regular Season Round 3: SIG - Aulnoye 80-53

Worth to mention about the upset in a game between Aulnoye (1-2) and SIG (2-1), which took place in llkirch-Graff.. Aulnoye was outleveled in a road game by SIG 80-53. The game without a history. SIG led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 42 of its points in the paint compared to Aulnoye's 18. SIG forced 26 Aulnoye turnovers. 25 personal fouls committed by Aulnoye helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was center Celine Schmitt-Sender (185-80) who scored 19 points and 9 rebounds. The former international forward Pauline Krawczyk (182-85, agency: Comsport) chipped in 9 points and 5 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Clementine Morateur (176-95) who recorded 18 points and forward Maud Medenou (189-90) added 10 points and 7 rebounds respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. SIG's next round opponent will be Montbrison (#11) on the road and are hoping to win another game. Aulnoye will play against Roche and hope to win that game.
