Regular Season Round 3: Avenir - Montbrison 79-47

Avenir (3-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed Montbrison (1-2) in Chartres 79-47. The game without a history. Avenir led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They held Montbrison to an opponent 21.8 percent shooting from the field compared to 43.5 percent accuracy of the winners. Avenir forced 24 Montbrison turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. It was a great evening for American forward Tiffany Clarke (183-91, college: Vanderbilt) who led her team to a victory scoring 13 points and 9 rebounds. Point guard Magali Mendy (178-90) helped adding 16 points and 6 rebounds. Four Avenir players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Camille Cabaton with 14 points and 4 assists and Cameroonian Amina Njonkou (185-88, college: Arizona) scored 6 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Avenir will play against Arras (#9) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Montbrison will play against SIG and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
