Regular Season Round 4: ALS Basket - St Vallier 72-78

There was no surprise in Andrezieux where 12th ranked ALS Basket (1-3) was defeated by seventh ranked Saint Vallier (3-1) 78-72 on Saturday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But ALS Basket won third quarter 25-21. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Saint Vallier won last quarter 14-10. Worth to mention a great performance of Romain Gregoire (201-91) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 10 points, 13 rebounds and 7 assists and American power forward Steffon Bradford (198-77, college: Nebraska) who added 23 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Four Saint Vallier players scored in double figures. At the losing side Bosnian power forward Nemanja Kovanusic (204-93) responded with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 14 rebounds and American point guard Jerrold Brooks (183-91, college: S.Mississippi, agency: Interperformances) scored 17 points. Saint Vallier moved-up to third place, which they share with Caen and Vitre. Newly promoted ALS Basket dropped to the thirteenth position with three games lost. They share it with 4 other teams. Saint Vallier will meet at home league's second-placed Souffelweyersheim in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. ALS Basket will play against Union Rennes (#12) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
