Regular Season Round 5: Kagawa FA - Hiroshima D. 76-86

No shocking result in a game in Takamatsu where second ranked Dragonflies (4-1) defeated 4th placed Kagawa FA (1-4) 86-76 on Saturday. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Dragonflies dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Kagawa FA's 40. The best player for the winners was guard Seiji Ikaruga (185-94) who scored 22 points. American forward Connor Lammert (206-94, college: Texas) chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points and 13 rebounds. Five Dragonflies players scored in double figures. American forward Chehales Tapscott (195-90, college: Portland St.) produced a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!), 10 rebounds and 4 assists and point guard Rintaro Tokunaga (177-86) added 8 points and 4 assists respectively for the hosts. Kagawa FA's coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Dragonflies keep a position of league leader, which they share with Toyotsu FE and Cyberdyne IR. Kagawa FA at the other side dropped to the fifth place with four games lost. Dragonflies will have a break next round. Kagawa FA will play again at home against the league's second-placed Dragonflies (#2) and hope to win that game.
