Very predictable result in Las Palmas where Valencia Basket (2-1) defeated Gran Canaria (0-3) 84-75 on Sunday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 22-18. But Gran Canaria won second period 18-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Valencia Basket made 16-of-18 free shots (88.9 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for American forward Luke Sikma (203-89, college: Portland) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds. The former international swingman Fernando San Emeterio (199-84) helped adding 14 points. Four Valencia Basket players scored in double figures.
