Regular Season Round 2: Pyrinto II - Oulun NMKY 81-87

There was a minor upset in Tampere where Pyrinto II (0-2) was defeated by Oulun NMKY (1-2) 87-81 on Sunday. Pyrinto II was trailing by 8 points at halftime but managed to get 2-point lead after three quarters before a 26-18 charge of Oulun NMKY, which allowed them to win the game. They also forced 19 Pyrinto II turnovers. The best player for the winners was American swingman Jaron Jones (198-89, college: E.Kentucky) who scored 37 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds. The other American import guard Zach Stahl (196, college: Northeastern, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) chipped in a double-double by scoring 22 points and 13 rebounds. American forward Terrell Vinson (201-90, college: Massachusetts, agency: HMS) produced a double-double by scoring 32 points and 13 rebounds and point guard Lassi Kilpinen (185-93) added 18 points and 6 assists respectively for the hosts. Pyrinto II's coach Tero Vasell let to play eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Oulun NMKY will face Espoo United (#3) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Pyrinto II will play against HBA-Marsky (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
