Regular Season Round 6: Toyotsu FE - Bambitious Nara 89-70

An interesting game for Toyotsu FE (5-1) which hosted in Nagoya 3rd ranked Bambitious Nara (3-3). Second ranked Toyotsu FE had an easy win 89-70. The game was mostly controlled by Toyotsu FE. Bambitious Nara managed to win second period 15-9. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Toyotsu FE dominated down low during the game scoring 40 of its points in the paint compared to Bambitious Nara's 20. They shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 56.5 percentage. Point guard Kohei Fukuzawa (177-93) notched 25 points to lead the effort and forward Yuto Otsuka (188-90) supported him with 15 points and 8 assists. Toyotsu FE's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even a double-double of 11 points and 13 rebounds by American forward Ruben Boykin (201-85, college: N.Arizona) did not help to save the game for Bambitious Nara. Guard Atsunobu Hirao (178-89) added 15 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Toyotsu FE have a solid four-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with 3 other teams. Bambitious Nara lost third consecutive game. They keep the third place with three games lost. They share the position with Fukushima and Yamagata. Toyotsu FE will meet Shinshu BW (#4) in the next round. Bambitious Nara will play against Tokyo Z and hope to secure a win.
