Regular Season Round 6: Yamagata - Cyberdyne IR 93-61

Leading Cyberdyne IR (4-2) recorded its second loss on the court of fifth ranked Yamagata. Visitors were rolled over by Yamagata 93-61. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Cyberdyne IR. The game was mostly controlled by Yamagata. Cyberdyne IR was better in fourth quarter 21-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Cyberdyne IR 47-36 including 33 on the defensive glass. American center Markhuri Sanders-Frison (203-88, college: California) had a double-double by scoring 20 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and swingman Mitsutaka Izawa (194-93) chipped in 20 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was American power forward Rick Rickert (211-83, college: Minnesota) with 12 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Seiji Kouno (172-89) scored 8 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Yamagata (3-3) moved-up to third place, which they share with Bambitious Nara and Fukushima. Cyberdyne IR at the other side still keeps top position with two games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Yamagata will play against Aomori Watts (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Cyberdyne IR will play against Fukushima and hopes to get back on the winning track.
