Regular Season Round 2: The Flexx PT - Enel Brindisi 89-81

Enel Brindisi (1-1) recorded a loss in Pistoia on Sunday night. Visitors were defeated by The Flexx PT (1-1) 89-81. Enel Brindisi was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. The Flexx PT looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. American guard Corey Hawkins (190-91, college: Cal-Davis) notched a double-double by scoring 17 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the effort and the other American import point guard Ronald Moore (183-88, college: Siena) supported him with 11 points, 7 rebounds and 10 assists. Even a double-double of 21 points and 11 rebounds by Senegalese-French forward Amath M'Baye (206-89, college: Oklahoma) did not help to save the game for Enel Brindisi. American-Jamaica swingman Durand Scott (196-90, college: Miami, FL) added 20 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. The Flexx PT will meet Scandone AV (#8) in the next round where they are favorite. Enel Brindisi will play against Grissin Bon RE (#7) and hope to win that game.
