Regular Season Round 2: JyWe - HNMKY U23 57-93

JyWe was not able to use a home court advantage and was outscored by the opponent from 93-57 on Sunday night. The game was mostly controlled by HNMKY U23. JyWe was better in second period 17-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded JyWe 46-18 including a 36-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was guard Jyri Eboreime (185-98) who had a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds. Center Otso Laakkonen (198-93) chipped in 15 points and 7 rebounds. Four HNMKY U23 players scored in double figures. HNMKY U23's coach felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Forward Sami Mantymaa (193-88) produced 21 points and forward Ville Pyykkonen (203-77) added 12 points respectively for the hosts. HNMKY U23 will face Raholan Pyrkiva (#4) in Tampere in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. JyWe will play on the road against Karkkila (#3) and hope to win that game.
