Regular Season Round 3: Niigata R. - Hitachi Cougars 58-68

Very expected game when Niigata R. (0-2) lost to Hitachi Cougars (2-0) in Tokyo 58-68 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 39-28 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. It was a good game for guard Aya Tsurumi (164-92) who led her team to a victory with 14 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Swingman Ishiguro Mutsumi (175-92) contributed with 13 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Point guard Rika Oshiro (163-93) answered with 19 points and power forward Mei Chi (175-90) added 10 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Niigata R.Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Hitachi Cougars will face Fujitsu RW (#9) in Kawasaki in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
