Maccabi Ashdod (1-0) crushed at home Maccabi K/G (0-1) by 22 points 90-68, which is the biggest margin this round on Monday night. The game without a history. Maccabi Ashdod led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. American Daniel Ewing (191-83, college: Duke, agency: Stealth Sport) stepped up and scored 25 points for the winners and his fellow American import swingman Chase Simon (198-89, college: Detroit Mercy, agency: Three Eye Sports) chipped in 18 points. Four Maccabi Ashdod players scored in double figures. At the losing side American forward James Singleton (203-81, college: Murray St., agency: Interperformances) responded with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds and the former international Or Solomon (201-93) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Maccabi Ashdod will face Galil Gilboa (#9) in Rosh Pina in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Maccabi K/G will play at home against Hapoel Jerusalem and hope to win that game.
