Regular Season Round 3: Hainaut - Nice 60-56

We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when Hainaut (1-2) beat Nice (1-2) in Saint-Amand 60-56 on Wednesday. Nice trailed by 12 points after 3 quarters before a 16-8 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 56-60 at the end of the game. Hainaut forced 20 Nice turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for Czech swingman Romana Hejdova (184-88) who led the winners and scored 14 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Point guard Joyce Cousseins-Smith (165-88) accounted for 10 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) for the winning side. German forward Romy Baer (187-87) came up with 20 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 6 steals and Mamignan Toure (183-94) added 9 points respectively for Nice in the defeat. Hainaut will meet Nantes Reze (#8) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Nice will play against Tarbes and hope to win that game.
