Regular Season Round 4: Korihait - KTP Basket 66-85

The biggest surprise of round 4 was guest KTP-Basket's (2-2) easy road victory over 6th ranked UU-Korihait (1-3) 85-66 on Thursday evening. The game without a history. KTP-Basket led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to UU-Korihait's 26. Strangely UU-Korihait outrebounded KTP-Basket 43-30 including a 18-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American forward William Walker (197-87, college: Bethel, IN) fired 21 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Jamaica-American power forward Sherman Gay (201-82, college: Loyola Mary) chipped in 23 points and 6 rebounds. Walker is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four KTP-Basket players scored in double figures. American power forward Marcus Van (201-87, college: Cent.Michigan) produced 9 points and 17 rebounds and his fellow American import swingman Reginald Bratton (193-86, college: Lenoir-Rhyne, agency: Blacktop Management) added 19 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. KTP-Basket moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Lapua. UU-Korihait lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the eighth position with three games lost. They share it with BC Nokia. KTP-Basket is looking forward to face Kouvot (#7) in Kouvola in the next round. UU-Korihait will play on the road against Lapuan Korikobrat and is hoping to win this game.
