Regular Season Round 1: Hapoel Migd.H. - Maccabi H/H 88-79

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Hasharon (0-1) in Tarshicha. Visitors were defeated by Hapoel Migd.H. (1-0) 88-79. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Hasharon won third quarter 24-20. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Hasharon was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. American swingman Marcus Relphorde (198-88, college: Colorado) stepped up and scored 28 points for the winners and guard Alon Levin (188-95) chipped in 21 points and 4 assists (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). At the losing side American Storm Warren (201-88, college: LSU, agency: Octagon Europe) responded with 32 points and 8 rebounds and guard Gal Tesler (186-93) scored 17 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Hapoel Migd.H. will play against Hap.Haifa (#9) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Hasharon will play against Hapoel B/S (#10) in Beer Sheva to get more than just one victory in their record.
