Regular Season Round 3: PuHu Juniorit - Korikouvot 114-75

Not a big story in a game when Korikouvot (2-2) was outscored by PuHu Juniorit (4-0) in Vantaa 114-75 on Friday. The game without a history. PuHu Juniorit led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 74 of its points in the paint compared to Korikouvot's 30. They outrebounded Korikouvot 47-23 including a 30-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. PuHu Juniorit looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. It was a good game for American power forward Brian Moultrie (198-87, college: Armstr.Atlantic) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 16 rebounds. Guard Eero Sahlberg (188-90) contributed with 20 points for the winners. Guard Teemu Knihtinen (192-98) answered with 16 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and power forward Juuso Maenpaa (198-93) added 16 points in the effort for Korikouvot. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. PuHu Juniorit will face TuNMKY (#5) in Turun in the next round. Korikouvot will play on the road against Namika Lr in Lappeenranta and hope to win that game.
