The game between closely ranked teams ended with fifth ranked Chiba Jets' (3-4) road victory over 6th ranked Akita Happinets (1-6) 82-70 on Saturday. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. American forward Michael Parker (202-81, college: Evergreen St.) fired 24 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. His fellow American import Tyler Stone (203-91, college: SE Missouri St.) chipped in 16 points. International guard Shigehiro Taguchi (184-90) produced 19 points and 5 rebounds and American forward Deshawn Stephens (203-89, college: San Diego St.) added 16 points and 7 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) respectively for lost side. Akita Happinets' coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Chiba Jets moved-up to third place, which they share with Sendai 89ers and Kyoto Hannar. Akita Happinets lost their fifth game in a row. They keep the sixth position with six games lost. Chiba Jets will have a break next round. Akita Happinets will play again at home against Chiba Jets (#3) and hope to win that game.
