Regular Season Round 3: Aros Leon - Segle XXI 75-50

Aros Leon delivered the third consecutive victory on Saturday night. This time they crushed Segle XXI (1-2) 75-50. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Aros Leon's pressure prevailed and they won that period 30-7 extending their advantage to 25 points. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Segle XXI to just 7 points in fourth quarter. The best player for the winners was power forward Itsaso Conde (185-96) who scored 21 points and 6 rebounds. Point guard Paloma Gonzalez (172-99) chipped in 11 points and 4 assists. Four Aros Leon players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Aina Ayuso (181-99) who recorded 13 points and 5 rebounds and Aixa Wone (184-0) added 11 points respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Aros Leon will face Azkoitia (#3) in Azpeitia in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Segle XXI's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Barcelona Joventut LC.
