Regular Season Round 4: Innova Chef - Estudiantes L. 58-82

Very expected game in Zamora where bottom-ranked Innova Chef (0-2) was crushed by top-ranked Estudiantes L. (2-0) 82-58 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Estudiantes L.. Innova Chef was better in third quarter 21-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Estudiantes L. dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Innova Chef's 24. They outrebounded Innova Chef 49-34 including 21 on the offensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Roberto Abuin (190-95) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 6 rebounds and Pablo Cordoba (182-97) who added 14 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Four Estudiantes L. players scored in double figures. Estudiantes L.'s coach felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. At the losing side Montenegrin center Milo Vukcevic (200-96) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds and Ruben Dominguez (196-97) scored 10 points. Estudiantes L. keeps a position of Group A-B leader, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Innova Chef still closes the standings with two games lost. Estudiantes L. will face Calidus Gal.COB (#5) in Ourense in the next round. Innova Chef will play at home against Vigo VGO (#13) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
