Regular Season Round 4: Valls Nutrion - Vive El Masnou 74-71

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both fifth ranked Valls Nutrion and 7th ranked Vive El Masnou had identical 1-1 record. This time Valls Nutrion used a home court advantage and edged the opponent from Barcelona 74-71 on Saturday night. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Vive El Masnou won third quarter 21-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Valls Nutrion forced 20 Vive El Masnou turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman Alejandro Alba (193-77) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 6 rebounds and power forward Josep Miguel (204) who added 9 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side Albert Valle Vives (-92) responded with 23 points and 8 rebounds and Jordi Ramon (198-90) scored 11 points and 4 assists. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Valls Nutrion (2-1) moved-up to third place in Group C-B, which they share with 4 other teams. Loser Vive El Masnou dropped to the eighth position with two games lost. Valls Nutrion will face Muro Basquet (#15) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Vive El Masnou will play against Cerdalyola (#12) and hope to win that game.
