Regular Season Round 7: Cyberdyne IR - Fukushima 72-86

There was a minor upset in Tsukuba where much higher ranked Cyberdyne IR (4-3) was defeated by fourth ranked Fukushima (4-3) 86-72 on Saturday. Cyberdyne IR was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Americans were the main players on the court. It was a great evening for forward Donnavan Kirk (206-91, college: Miami, FL) who led his team to a victory scoring 23 points (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field). Guard Cedric Bozeman (198-83, college: UCLA) helped adding 9 points and 8 assists. At the losing side power forward Rick Rickert (211-83, college: Minnesota) responded with 8 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Logan Stutz (205-88, college: Washburn) scored 14 points and 6 rebounds. Four Cyberdyne IR players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Fukushima moved-up to second place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Cyberdyne IR. Fukushima will have a break next round. Cyberdyne IR will play again at home against the league's second-placed Fukushima and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
