Regular Season Round 2: Ironi Nahariya - Hapoel Holon 75-80

No shocking result in a game when Hapoel Holon (2-0) defeated on the road Ironi Nahariya (0-2) 80-75. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Ironi Nahariya won third quarter 19-13. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Hapoel Holon won last quarter 21-18. 27 personal fouls committed by Ironi Nahariya helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The game was dominated by American players. Khalif Wyatt (193-91, college: Temple, agency: Pensack Sports) notched 22 points and 7 rebounds to lead the effort and point guard Paul Delaney (188-86, college: UAB, agency: Three Eye Sports) supported him with 20 points and 5 assists. Even 17 points and 9 rebounds by power forward Yancy Gates (206-89, college: Cincinnati) did not help to save the game for Ironi Nahariya. Point guard Marquis Teague (188-93, college: Kentucky) added 13 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Hapoel Holon's next round opponent will be Maccabi T-A (#5) in Tel-Aviv. Ironi Nahariya will play on the road against Maccabi Ashdod and hope to win that game.
