Regular Season Round 4: Centrum - Tromso 85-61

Bottom-ranked Tromso (0-4) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 85-61 loss to fourth ranked Centrum (3-1) in Oslo on Saturday evening. The game was mostly controlled by Centrum. Tromso was better in second period 22-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Tromso 43-28 including a 31-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Centrum shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 56.0 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American Torgrim Sommerfeldt (198-89, college: Manhattan) fired a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Forward Anders Stien (195-90) chipped in 19 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Centrum players scored in double figures. Centrum's coach Inge Kristiansen felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Henrik Lange (189-95) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds and forward Anders Solem (196-92) added 13 points respectively for lost side. Defending champion maintains fourth position with 3-1 record. Loser Tromso still closes the standings with four games lost. Centrum will face Asker Aliens (#8) on the road in the next round. Tromso will play against Ammerud Bskt and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
