Regular Season Round 3: Valladolid - Zamorano 75-68

There was no surprise when Zamorano (0-3) lost to Blancos de Rueda (2-1) in Valladolid 68-75. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 20-13. But Zamorano won second period 19-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Zamorano 45-32 including 19 on the offensive glass. It was a great evening for center Sergio De La Fuente (198-89) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 16 rebounds. Mali center Boubacar Sidibe (205-94) helped adding 16 points and 8 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Five Blancos de Rueda players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was center Christopher Iza (206-95) with 9 points and 13 rebounds and American guard Chris Hansen (193, college: Idaho St.) scored 19 points. Blancos de Rueda will play against Alcazar (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Zamorano will play against Moron (#6) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
