Regular Season Round 2: Ethnikos - Psychiko 78-64

Ethnikos used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Athens 78-64. Psyhiko was ahead by 1 point at the halftime before a 41-26 second half run of Ethnikos. Swingman Nikos Kokkalis (198-85) notched 27 points to lead the effort and center Kostas Macheras (205-85) supported him with 8 points and 12 rebounds. Even 17 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists by power forward John Sinis (206-91, college: San Diego) did not help to save the game for Psyhiko. Point guard Thomas Nikou (185-80) added 14 points and 7 assists for the guests. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Ethnikos will play against Pagrati (#6) in Athens in the next round. Psyhiko's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Athens Panionios.
