Regular Season Round 2: Doukas - Pagrati 89-69

Date: October 15, 2016
The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Pagrati (1-1) in Athens on Saturday night. Visitors were rolled over by Doukas (2-0) 89-69. The game without a history. Doukas led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Pagrati's players. 24 personal fouls committed by Pagrati helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The former international guard Panagiotis Kafkis (197-80) scored 16 points and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the former international guard Emmanouil Papamakarios (192-80) chipped in 8 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists during the contest. Four Doukas players scored in double figures. Guard Sotiris Bourdanos (187-86) responded with 13 points and point guard Sokratis Psaropoulos (191-92) scored 11 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Doukas is looking forward to face Irakleio (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Pagrati will play against Ethnikos (#10) and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
