There was an upset when Roma S.Azzurra (1-1) was defeated at home by Cassino (2-1) 64-56 on Saturday. It was a great evening for naturalized Argentinian forward Duilio Birindelli (200-84) who led his team to a victory scoring 17 points and 8 rebounds. Swingman Gianluca Valesin (193-92) helped adding 14 points. The best for the losing side was Serbian Lazar Nikolic (203-99, agency: BeoBasket) with 12 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and Davide Pucci scored 10 points and 8 rebounds. Roma S.Azzurra's coach Germano D'Arcangeli let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Cassino will face Basket Barcellona (#10) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Roma S.Azzurra will play against Napoli Cuore and hope to win that game.
