Regular Season Round 2: MKS DG - Start Lublin 92-72

MKS Dabrowa Gornicza smashed TBV Start at home 92-72. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. 33 personal fouls committed by TBV Start helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was American point guard Kerron Johnson (183-90, college: Belmont) who scored 21 points. Naturalized Ukrainian Vitaliy Kovalenko (204-84) chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds. Five MKS Dabrowa Gornicza players scored in double figures. American power forward Brandon Peterson (204-90, college: Arkansas St., agency: Inception Sports) produced a double-double by scoring 25 points and 12 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Doug Wiggins (183-88, college: Mountain St.) added 15 points, 6 rebounds and 12 assists (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!) respectively for the guests. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. TBV Start will play next round against Krosno trying to get back on the winning streak. MKS Dabrowa Gornicza will try to continue on its current victory against Twarde Pierniki in Torun.
