Regular Season Round 4: Pardinyes-L. - Quart 82-71

There was a minor upset in Lleida where one of their biggest challengers Quart (2-1) was defeated by ninth ranked Pardinyes-L. (2-1) 82-71 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 2-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 82-71. Quart was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of Estonia Kregor Hermet (204-97) who helped to win the game recording 27 points (on 10-of-11 shooting from the field) and Ruben Fernandez who added 13 points during the contest. Pardinyes-L.'s coach used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. At the losing side point guard Jordi Bataller (183-86) responded with 13 points and 6 assists and guard Marti Serra (186-89) scored 17 points. Pardinyes-L. moved-up to third place in Group C-B, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated Quart. Pardinyes-L. will face Andorra II (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Quart will play against the league's second-placed Palma II (#2) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
