Regular Season Round 2: Carugate - San Salvatore 75-80

Very expected game when Carugate (0-2) lost to San Salvatore (2-0) in Corugate 75-80 on Saturday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Carugate won third quarter 17-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Carugate was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Francesca Russo (178-96) orchestrated the victory by scoring 19 points and 7 rebounds. Forward Delia Gagliano (180-97) contributed with 9 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. The former international forward Emily Correal (190-90, college: William & Mary, agency: Interperformances) replied with 26 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Claudia Colli (178-96) added 11 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 8 steals in the effort for Carugate. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Carugate's coach Paolo Re rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. San Salvatore will face Milano at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Carugate will play against Team Crema (#9) and hope to win that game.
