Regular Season Round 4: Arras - Avenir 64-59

Round 4 most important game was a defeat of Avenir (3-1). They were defeated by ninth ranked Arras (2-2) 64-59 on Saturday night. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Avenir. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Avenir won third quarter 17-8. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Arras forced 19 Avenir turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard D'lesha Lloyd (179-86, college: Clemson, agency: Regeneracom Sports) who helped to win the game recording 14 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Fabienne Constant (186-86) who added 14 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side point guard Magali Mendy (178-90) responded with 22 points and 7 rebounds and American forward Tiffany Clarke (183-91, college: Vanderbilt) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds. Arras moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Reims and Roannais. Avenir at the other side dropped to the third position with one game lost. They share it with COB Calais and SIG. They were replaced at the leadership position by Roche. Avenir will play next round against SIG trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Arras will try to continue on its current victory against second ranked Bretagne Basket in Pleyber-Christ.
