Regular Season Round 6: Vitre - CFBB 76-47

Bottom-ranked CFBB (0-6) is still winless. This time they lost on the road their sixth consecutive match to ninth ranked Vitre (4-2) 76-47 on Saturday evening. The hosts trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 11-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 76-47. Vitre looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was guard Antoine Belkessa (186-88) who scored 15 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Desmond Quincy-Jones (201-85, college: Pace) chipped in 7 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Theo Maledon (191-1) who recorded 15 points and forward Ivan Fevrier (200-99) added 7 points and 8 rebounds respectively. CFBB's coach Jean-Aime Toupane gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Vitre moved-up to third place, which they share with 4 other teams. CFBB at the other side still closes the standings with six games lost. Vitre will meet Gries/Oberhoffen (#14) in the next round which should be another easy win for them. CFBB will play against Angers BC (#9) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
